Photo of the Day!

You may remember that a friend of ours took some pictures of our family for our Christmas card. She entered one of the pictures (a pic of Edy) in Steve's Digicams Photo of the Day contest AND...it was chosen!  Way to go, Carol!

I didn't know if I could post the picture on the blog.  You can check it out here.

I'm one proud momma!

Ava's Very First Christmas Tree

This was Ava Grace's first year to have her very own Christmas Tree.  We decorated it when Na and Pops came to visit a few weeks ago.
She was VERY picky about where the ornaments were to be placed.  In fact, I moved a couple of ornaments and put them in different spots.  No, no...She was not so easily fooled and I had to move them back.  Some branches have SEVERAL ornaments weighing them down!

Gumdrop star!
So Sweet!
Christmas Trees always look better in person--take my word for it.

It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas!

Yup!  We are all decorated for Christmas around here. Actually, we have been for a little bit.   I am still decorating in red and silver--have been for the last couple of years, but I still love it!
This year, I added mesh to the tree and I like how it turned out.

I hope all of you bloggers post your Christmas decorations.  I love looking at all of the different ways people decorate their homes.

Thanksgiving

Goodness, where to begin?  I have so much to be thankful for.  Too many to list?...You betcha!  To God be the Glory.

This Thanksgiving was spent at Tat and Gaga's!

The weather was hot and muggy on Wednesday, but by Thursday night, it was COLD!

Edy is learning baby sign language.
Here she is signing "more".  She loved her Thanksgiving feast! *yum*

The adults had a fabulous meal!  We had seven layer salad, corn casserole, broccoli casserole, sweet potato casserole, turkey (with raspberry glaze), dressing, cranberry sauce, rolls, and chocolate delight.  It was a VERY delicious feat feast.
What?  Is that AG with the Ipad?  Couldn't be.

Christmas Facelift & Desktop Background

Among other things, the blog has been decorated for Christmas!

I was gonna wait until after Thanksgiving to change the look, but I just couldn't wait.  I've had the header made for a couple of weeks and I was itching to change it!

If I enjoyed music on blogs, you would hear "The Christmas Song" playing softly in the background.  Can't you just hear it? In Bing or Frank's voice, of course..."Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, jack frost nipping at your nose..."

 Christmas desktop background.

"Although it's been said many times, many ways Merry Christmas to you."

Edy Grows - 10 months

Edy Rose,
You're 10 months old today!  Just look at how much you've grown.  Ahh...you are just too cute for words.

Here is what you have been up to this month:
  • feeding yourself soft peas, bananas, and carrots
  • sleeping 12 hours at night
  • cutting your top two teeth at the same time (that makes 4 teeth total)
  • standing solid without holding onto anything
  • cruising around furniture with ease
  • crawling faster than I can blink
  • signing "more" when eating
  • drinking juice/water from sippy cup
  • pointing to lights when asked
  • giving open mouth kisses
  • saying "Mama", "Dada", and "Bye"
  • gibber gabbering constantly
  • enjoy looking at books--especially Moon Dance
  • smiling a lot!
I can't believe we are only two months away from your first birthday.  I know I've said it before, but your first year has flown by too fast.

I love you, Rose Bud,
Mommy

I've  had several people comment that they liked looking at the out takes from our monthly picture shoots.  Well, here they are.  Count 'em--all 27 of them.  Guess what?  The best picture out of all of them was the very first one! Ha!

I love my little wiggle worm!

Family Fotos

Carol, from our church, offered to take some pictures of our family for our Christmas card.  She and her husband have a wonderful yard that is great for picture taking--perfect backdrop.

Jolly Old St. Nick

That's right, Santa is already at his post in the mall.  We went ahead and got our pictures with him a little early.

The Many Faces of Ro

Edy is such an animated baby. She has so many different little smiles and smirks. Just see for yourself:

Sunday Pics

Na and Pops made a trip from Arkansas to visit us in Texas.  It was so nice to have a few days to hang out with one another.  Plus, we had a few extra hands with the girls--that's always a plus!
Look at those chiclets!
Standing strong!
Very cute smile, Ro!

Little Turkeys

A friend of mine, Rae, has started a business making cute clothes, bows, tutus, etc.  Check out what I got the girls for Thanksgiving:
How adorable are these shirts?

Thanks, Rae!  I am excited for the girls to wear their new shirts during this Thanksgiving season.

Ride a Little Horsey

Tonight, we went to a carnival in Bullard, TX.  It was chilly and the vendors were selling funnel cakes, caramel apples, chili, hot chocolate, etc.  I  just love this time of year.

By the way, AG got her hair cut today and insisted that the stylist fix it to her liking.  She gave very strict orders: "I want my hair straightened--not curly."  Whoa, somebody is BOSSY!

Love me some Edy RoRo!

Fall Pictures

First of all, how do you like the new Fall look of the blog?  I still have some kinks to work out, but it's a nice change.  Unfortunately, it won't be this way long--Christmas is just around the corner!
Yesterday was such a pretty day--warm, but pretty.  I decided on a whim to get some new pictures of the girls.  It is never an easy task to get pictures of them together.  Edy is all over the place and will not sit still and Ava Grace ends up getting so frustrated.  I, on the other hand, remained as calm as ever!

 I actually liked this one.
 Blurry, but decent...
