Soccer Camp

Our little Edy is a gifted soccer player.  She plays goalie for her team and it's so much fun to see her in action.

This summer, she went to a soccer camp...

The coaches are British and she loved their accents.  She got a good workout everyday and really refined her skills.  We are looking forward to another great season with The Swarm.

GO EDY!

Swarm 2016

We wrapped up another season of soccer!

Edy loves the game and LOVES playing goalie.  She calls herself "Stonewall."  LOLOL!

Soccer Mom!

It's that time of year again!  It's time to gear up for another soccer season!
This year, my sweet Edy Rose will be playing, too.

Edy has a natural aggression and competitiveness that can't be taught.  She is a gifted little soccer player!

AG is starting her 4th year of soccer.  Her first two years, she played co-ed and it was really difficult for her to learn the game or get any play time with the boys hogging the ball. :)  Last year, she started playing on an all girls team and she has grown leaps and bounds!  She's not aggressive by nature, but she is a skilled ball handler.  She mostly plays defense and she's intent on keeping the opposing team's ball out of the goal!

The first game was ridiculously H-O-T!  We were seconds from catching fire!  At one point, Graham laughed at me because we got a little breeze and I said, "Thank you, Jesus!"  It was smoldering!

Joy was a real trooper out in the heat!  She hardly complained and kept a cute smile on her face that encouraged us wimps!
More to come as the season progresses!

futbol

Soccer is back in full swing!  AG is now playing on an all girls team in Bullard and we've seen a lot of improvment from her previous two years!  A lot!   Saturday was the first game of the season and she was more aggressive and engaged than ever before--big improvements, I tell ya!

She had an awesome assist that  made her day!  It was pretty cool if I do say so myself.

We are loving the fact that AG is getting connected with other little girls in the community that share some of her same interests.

Kids are fun!

life-n-pics

Here we go--another life-n-pics post...

The girls went to a friend's bday party at The Pottery Cafe--such a neat place.  I noticed that most of the girls picked a dolphin, ladybug, or puppy to paint.  Not my girls!  Edy chose a dragon and AG chose a C-A-T!!! A CAT!!!!!!??????? She's revolting against her momma!

  • Joy loves the bumbo seat
  • AG started soccer practice--she's on an all girls team in Bullard
  • Joy hanging out at soccer practice
  • Bottle #3 and she still refuses.  HELP!!!!! Suggestions??

Graham's parents have been visiting.  Graham learned how to make his mom's peanut butter fudge and divinity.  I learned how to make her pecan pie for the third time.  I'm a slow learner!

Monday, AG started Classical Conversations (CC).  It was FANTASTIC and I am so thankful that we get to be a part of this group.  We started the day with memory work, then we had Latin, Geography, Grammar, a science experiment, an art lesson, more memory work, and then lunch/recess.

Joy is steadily learning new things.  She is close to rolling over and she can hold her head up really well.

I love routines and being back in the swing of things, but at the end of the day...I'm pooped!

Farwell Lil' Kickerz

Today marks the end of soccer season.  The Lil' Kickerz had a great season and AG loved it even more than last year.

I've yet to post about the Lil' Kickerz...

We've had several games--won 2, lost 1.

AG is WAY more aggressive and skilled than last season.
