Happy New Year!

I've enjoyed these 10 years of blogging, but it's time to say GOODBYE.

Thanks for following along.

Here's to new beginnings!

Deck Update

Our house has a wonderful deck!  At the beginning of the summer, I noticed that it was looking a little shabby...

I pressure washed and stained the deck and pergola.  It was a big job, but it looks so beautiful now!

LIGCON 2017

Back in March, Graham and I went to Orlando for LigCon.  It was a celebration of the 500th year since the Protestant Reformation and of great encouragement for Christ followers as we move forward.
headed out

bossing me around

From one of my posts during the trip:

Christians friends, we owe so much to the great reformers such as Luther & Calvin and the work God did in & through them to bring about change in the church. On a personal note, I thank God for R. C. Sproul and the reformation God did on my heart through his commitment to teaching the Bible. As I listen to Renewing Your Mind, I can't help but smile when I hear his chalk hit that blackboard. I can hardly wait to hear him preach today at #ligcon! I praise God for R. C. Sproul!

Day 1 of bookstore purchases.  We ended up with much more!

Graham chatting with a lady that has been at every single LigCon!

I got to meet one of my heroes!  John MacArthur!!

Sunday at Sproul's church was a trip highlight.

Easter 2017

I know, I know...Easter was months ago, but I can't leave this family reunion undocumented.

For most of our married life, we've stayed home and enjoyed Easter as a family and hosted dinner for some friends.  Since moving to East Texas Graham's bro has joined us for Sunday lunch, too.

For years, I've been wanting to host Easter lunch for the whole family. It's been hard getting it all worked out, but we finally got everyone to join us this year.

We had a great time together and I am looking forward to doing it again next year!

Pine Cove 2017

This summer, my big girl took off to camp for a whole week.  It was hard on her momma and daddy, but she didn't skip a beat!
packed up and ready to go

Edy had fun at Day Camp but was happy to sleep in her own bed each night!

AG has decided she wants to go back year after year!  *YIKES!*

Psalm 50:10-11

As I gaze at the pasture across the road from our house, I'm reminded...

"For every animal of the forest is Mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird of the mountains, and the creatures of the field are Mine." Psalm 50:10-11

He is Author, Perfecter, Sustainer, Finisher. He is more than I could ever comprehend or put into words, but I will try. I will praise Him forever!

Laundromat

Back in April, I hosted a bachelorette party for my sister, KK.  Hours before the party, the downstairs toilet overflowed...like major.  We used every single towel and sheet in the house to clean up the mess.  Instead of working on last minute party details, we spent a few hours in a laundromat washing and drying all the towels.

But, how retro and cute is this laundromat>

This pic is totally staged and I love it!

KK's party was awesome and this little hiccup proved to be a day of fun too!
