Sunday Pics | May To February 2017

We have never had the privilege of living in the same town as our extended family.  That's the main reason why this ole' blog got its start:  In 2007, I had just become a mom for the first time and our little Ava Grace was the first grandchild for both sides of the family.  Most of my posts were all about AG.  As technology progressed, I began to share more and more through texting.

Each Sunday, for at least 6+ years, I have taken a pic of my girls before church and texted it to family.  We call it our "Sunday Pic".  It's nothing fancy.  I usually scream to the girls from my bathroom, "Girls, go sit on the piano for a pic." Then, I rush in and quickly snap it before we load up.  Plain and simple.

Here are some of the Sunday Pics from May to February 2017:

Sunday Pics | January - April

Each Sunday, for at least 5 years but maybe even longer, I have taken a pic of my girls and sent it out to all of our extended family. * I rarely miss a Sunday and it's known as the Sunday Pic.

I'm nostalgic and these pics fill my need to preserve memories and capture my growing and changing little girls!  I hope we can keep them up for a long time!  Maybe my girls will pass the tradition on to their families--probably using some new-fangled camera or whatever! :)

There is nothing to these pics--just a poorly shot iPhone pic before we rush out the door. We're always running late on Sunday! The one constant is my little girls decked out for church and looking adorable!

On the off chance I forget the pic prior to heading out the door, I snap one before pulling on to the road.

Mother's Day

I had a fantastic Mother's Day!!  Not only did I get spoiled with a new computer, but Graham and the girls took me to a fabulous brunch at Jul's in Tyler.  It was simply outstanding.  I didn't want to get full! :) Y'all know what I mean?  The food was that good!

the three beauties that made me a momma

What a difference a year makes...

Joy was 6 days old last Mother's Day.

Also, I wanted to share some old pics of my momma and me...

Love you, Mom!

A Day in the Life {Sunday}

Sunday! I hate to sound all "super-Christian" and say, "Sunday is my most favorite day of the week!"  But it is. It absolutely is!

Sunday mornings can be beyond tough--especially with a new baby.  Scheduling feeding times and naptime, packing the diaper bag, and toting a 5lb carrier around with a 16lb baby can wear anyone out! Not to mention, getting three little girls ready and looking decent myself--it's a wonder we get to church on time with smiles on our faces.  Hard doesn't describe it, but we manage. Ahh...once we are out the door and headed to church, the stress subsides a little.  I absolutely love our church family and corporate worship is essential for every believer so all the effort to make it there is worth it!

We don't have a "set-in stone" schedule for the day, but a typical Sunday looks a lot like this:
  • Graham leaves the house way before we do, so I serve breakfast.
  • get everyone ready
  • ritualistic "Sunday Pic"
  • head to church around 9AM
  • run through a fast food restaurant for lunch--not what I would prefer, but it's been the easiest thing for us over these past few months
  • Graham and I like to sip coffee, watch TV, and rest on Sunday afternoons while the girls are separated and resting. We'd let them play together, but it'd mess up our "relax-time atmosphere".  Don't mess with my Sunday afternoon!  AG watches some TV in our room, Edy chills in her room, and Joy naps.  It works for us at the moment.
  • make lunches for CC
  • make school plans for Tues-Friday
  • review time with AG for Classical Conversations
  • Bible Study
  • easy dinner
  • family time (movie/games)
  • girls to bed at 8PM
  • Sister Wives & Downton
Sunday sets the tone for our week.  If Sunday ain't good then it's tough to find balance the other six days.  Sunday afternoon is the time when I get all of our homeschool plans and activities laid-out.  It's so important that I set that time aside or Monday is chaotic.

Sunday Pics

If you've been following this blog for any length of time, you know that I try my best to take a pic of my girls each Sunday before we head out the door for church.  For one, it's a day when we are in something other than play clothes. Plus, it's a visual of how much my girls are growing and changing.  I've been pretty good about sending the family a pic each week...ahem...and they let me know when I forget!  I love them for loving my girls so much!

I've neglected to post the pics on the blog in a while so I compiled them in a collage for your viewing enjoyment...You're Welcome!

First Time to Church

Sunday, at just a day shy of three weeks old, Joy went to church for the first time.  She was beautiful, sleepy, and practically perfect.  The big girls were so proud to show off their little sister...makes a momma proud!

Sunday Pic

I take a picture every single Sunday of my girls and text it to my family.  This is the first of many "Sunday Pics" with the three sisters!

(AG and Graham went to church this morning while Edy, Joy and I stayed home.)

Sunday Pics

It's been a while since I've posted any "Sunday pics".  I used to post them every Monday, but things are just too busy these days. Ahhh, who am I kidding?  Things have always been busy, I just don't take the time to blog as much.

The girls were exceptionally adorable yesterday--don't ya think?  Again, who am I kidding? They are exceptionally adorable every day!!!

Good gracious it's H-O-T!  We did manage to get out in the heat for a quick sec to snap a pic. . .

I swear, Edy is gonna have a permanent bump on her head from all the climbing she does.
They can be so sweet.

Sunday Pics

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday.  We sure are--church was great and the weather around here is beautiful.

I love black and white clothing!
This cute little outfit was AG's and I was SO excited that Edy could wear it as well (it's 12 month size).  Ava Grace only got to wear it one time.

Look at how much hair AG had compared to Edy Rose. They are really looking different these days.
