Ava Grace is 8 months old!

Our little girl turned 8 months old today. She is getting so big. Last week, she started crawling...officially. Today, we are chasing her everywhere. Graham and I are so worn out. She has explored our house and located the most dangerous thing each room has to offer. There are so many things she has to play with, yet she goes for the night light, DVD player, computer cord, plant, etc. We thought we had done a lot of baby proofing, but we will need to scope the house out again for little temptations! We liked the picture above to show off her long legs, but we thought the picture below was just too cute!

Time for a Change...

I've decided to start a new blog:  Our Joy...His Glory. The Weebly account was difficult to use and I think that I am going to enjoy the layout and choices that Blogger has to offer. Graham has been using Blogger for some time now and he really likes it. I put a link to his blog, Making Much of Him, on the sidebar. Feel free to let me know what you think.  One more thing, I transferred all of my old Weebly posts over to the blog so nothing is lost.

I love being able to keep an account of what the Lord is doing in our lives. It is fun to look back at previous posts and see His hand in it all. For instance, we have lived in Fort Smith for almost two years and in that time the Lord has really molded us in new ways. The biggest change would be our induction into parenthood. We are learning day by day and the Lord is guiding us every step of the way as we raise our little girl. There have also been some major changes in our church.  One being the location change and buying a new building. The other being that Graham is now full-time as the Discipleship Pastor.

I look forward to posting more about our faith, our family, and whatever else on this blog.

Stay tuned.

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

Surprise #1:  For about 6 weeks, AG has been in the crawling formation, but she has either rolled or scooted to her destination. Last night, however; she decided to crawl to her toy. It was so exciting to watch because you could almost tell in her face that she realized it was much easier to crawl to things than to scoot or roll.

Surprise #2:  Yesterday, when I went to check on AG while she was napping, I was greeted by her standing in her bed! I laughed in shock to see her standing there crying for me!

Surprise #3:  And finally, last night just before bed, I clapped and yelled, "Yay", when AG crawled and she clapped right back. It was so cute. This morning we practiced many times because it is so much fun to watch.
