Trip to B-A-B

We've been avoiding Build-A-Bear for some time, but Aunt Dorothy promised AG she would take her for her 6th bday.  The girls absolutely had a blast.  What kid wouldn't?

Couldn't leave out Joyful--she got a Small-Fry Bear.

Thanks, Aunt Ann for Joy's little bear.  Thanks, Aunt Dorothy for making the big girls day!  They had a wonderful time.

A Few of My Favorite {Christmas} Things

I'm linking up to The Nesting Place for this post.

It's never crossed my mind to have a "Favorite Things Party".  It sounds wonderful, though. We are used to the traditional ornament exchange and the white elephant game, but a Favorite Things Party seems WAY more interesting.  I guess the gist is to bring an inexpensive item that would be considered one of your favorite things and share it with your guests.  I'm putting that on my list of party ideas...along with a Pinterest Party!

It was easy for me to think of a few of my favorite things because I narrowed the field to Christmas faves.  Here goes: Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens/ Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens/ Brown paper packages tied up with strings/ These are a few of my favorite things...couldn't resist.

First and foremost, my house wouldn't SCREAM Christmas without Aromatiques: The Smell of Christmas.  It's just a classic smell of cinnamon and clove and I. love. it.

Yes....pine cones are one of my favorite things.  I have them all over my house and I love the simplicity they bring.  I also have branches of green pine laying everywhere--natural and nice. {and an allergy attack in the making!}
It wouldn't be Christmas without The Rat Pack.  Before Pandora, before Spotify, even before iPods, I would blast this album on my good ole' CD player.

I guess any pepper jelly will do, but this stuff has a nice blend of sweet and spice.  I love it, but for some reason, I only enjoy it around Christmas.
I. Heart. World Market.  How bout you?  I. love these. candles. You?  Natural {looking} beauty!

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes/ Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes/ Silver white winters that melt into springs/ These are a few of my favorite things

By they way, this isn't my first rodeo.  I've posted a few or my  favorite things before HERE and HERE.

Beat That!

You ready for this?
$0.47 at Old Navy
No coupons either--just $0.47

What a complete shocker.  The cashier couldn't believe it either. They were regularly priced, but rang up for $0.45 and $0.02 tax.  Can't beat that!

A Good Night's Sleep

Like I said a couple of posts ago, Graham and I are mattress hunting.  I have researched the topic and it's suggested that one lay on the mattress up to 45 minutes--yeah right! Today, we were just jumping from bed to bed getting some ideas.

I woke up today and I couldn't decide if I wanted to get out of bed.  Not because I was SO comfortable, but because I didn't want to face the reality of how bad my upper back ached! With that said, we are probably going to make a decision in the next week or so. It's time for a "good night's sleep."

We went mattress shopping so we could fit in that "good night's sleep" before we head back to our ache-pad...or pad of aches and pains...or sack full of rocks...or lumps a lot...or miserableville...whatever you want to call it.

No telling how many greasy bodies have laid on this mattress prior to me. I cannot believe my cheek is touching that bare mattress. I guess the comfort out-weighed the filth.   Ahh....spinal alignment, oh the bliss!

Headed to the Mattresses

Graham and I are about to start looking for a new mattress. Please give your suggestions. We do not know where to begin. I hate making purchases like this. Remember, Graham has had two back surgeries. He is currently "down in his back" and his physical therapist told him that a good mattress could do a world of good. Our mattress is really getting old and lumpy. It was Graham's way before we got married and we have been married six years. I wake up each morning with a sore neck and upper back. I can only imagine how Graham feels.

HELP!!! This is one of those purchases where we do not want to make a mistake.
