Special Snapshots

A few months ago, when I started the "Special Snapshot" series, I organized my most favorite photos into folders for future posts.

Here's the story for this week's photo:

Before we left Fort Smith, our neighbors had us over for a sort of "farewell dinner".  It was a great time of fellowship--God blessed us with wonderful friends in Fort Smith.  We talked, laughed, watched the kids play, and had a great dinner.  As we were leaving, Ava Grace gave all the girls (some of her bestest buds) a big hug.  Her last hug was to the "big girl", Leightyn.  Just over a week later, Leightyn went home to meet our Lord and Saviour.  You can read her story HERE.

Is God Glad that Bin Laden is Dead?

I've been reading a lot of status updates and blog posts referring to the death of Osama Bin Laden.  Some of these posts have been insightful and some a tad bit silly (gotta love Facebook).  I just love what Piper has to say about it on his blog.  You can read the entire post HERE.
Also, here is another post that I read and wanted to share.  Click HERE to read it.

She Could Get Used to This

Last Saturday, before Easter, I took AG with me to get a pedicure.  She has never had a "real" one and it will be a long time until she has another one, but it was nice to do something "girlie" together.  I needed the company on this particular day.

--------------------------------------------
I'll end with a little "randomness"...
Before the pedicure, Graham married a couple and I went to the wedding with him.  We are hardly ever "dressed up" so my mom, who was visiting, snapped this pic. It'll do.

Buckle up...This be Random

Consider yourself warned. . .

*I'll begin with this:
AG LOVES her new bed!  Enough said.

*I finally made it to Canton, TX for First Monday Trade Days.  I had a blast, but my legs/feet are still throbbing from all the walking!  **note to self, need a new pair of Tevas--mine are shot**
Ahem...after taking a few dozen pics I was made aware that cameras are prohibited.  I guess I'll be good and refrain from posting them.  You'll just have to go and see what the hype is all about for yourself.  Or, you could just check out First Monday Trade Days HERE.

Moving on. . .

*Friday night, after a day of walking at the Trade Days, we headed to Jacksonville High School for Relay for Life--more walking, but it was for a great cause.

*Saturday, I finally got to watch The Royal Wedding. And may I say, it did not disappoint. It was fun to watch.
AG was in and out during the wedding, but at one point she came in dressed like this:

A daughter of the one true KING! :)

And finally. . .

*Around here, we are all about showing our battle wounds.  Cuts, scrapes, bruises, scars--they are all welcome. And now, whether you care or not, I will leave you with mine.
It's kinda hard to see in the pic, but that is one HUGE bruise left by this:
I dropped a can of Scrubbing Bubbles right on the top of my foot.  And yes, I did scream and cuss--it hurt like the dickens. Cleaning can be dangerous.

I'll end my random post with this...It's MAY! It's MAY! I love me some MAY!
