Edy's Bday Recap

My middle baby is SIX!  Here's a little recap of her bday:

Y'all! I made the cake.

She requested a rainbow cake. 

No big shindig this year, just a family party.

AG gave her a very special, thoughtful gift.  She took a picture of her and Edy, edited it, and printed it.  How sweet is that?

We ended the day watching the video from the day she was born!  I cried BUCKETS!  This growing up thing is for the birds.

Happy Birthday to my sweet, spunky, friendly, happy, energetic, Edy Rose!  She's six today!  

Per usual, we went out on a little birthday photo shoot and she schooled me in the art of posing!  She loves the camera!

[ONE]

About a month ago, Graham had his first ever wreck and totaled our car--my car. *He is okay! Even though I was forced into the loving arms of a Honda Odyssey (four years ago), I still call that Accord "my car".  I loved it!  At just over 10 years old and 160K miles, it was doing just fine and we planned on driving it forever.  I hated that the insurance company totaled it.

Y'all!!!  Have you jumped on the Making a Murderer bandwagon?  I'm fascinated and flabbergasted all at the same time!!!

With God's help and grace, I am off to a decent start with my new Bible reading plan.  I'm in Numbers and my Bible study group is going through Warren Wiersbe's commentary, Be Alert, which covers 2 Peter, 2 & 3 John, and Jude.  Graham gifted me a new Bible for Christmas, ESV Reformation Study Bible,  and I am loving the commentary!  I'm so thankful for the Great Physician who heals my heart from the sickness of sin and helps me to walk each day in Him!  Without Him, I'm nothing.

Sunday Pic | July to December 2015

We have never had the privilege of living in the same town as our extended family.  Actually, that's the main reason why this ole' blog got its start.  In 2007, I had just become a mom for the first time and our sweet Ava Grace was the first grandchild for both sides of the family.  Most of my posts were all about AG.  As technology progressed, I began to share more and more through texting.  Each Sunday, for at least 5 years but maybe even longer, I have taken a pic of my girls and sent it out to all of our extended family. * I rarely miss a Sunday*  It's the traditional Sunday Pic as we like to call it.

I'm nostalgic and these pics fill my need to preserve memories and capture my growing and changing little girls!  I hope we can keep them up for a long time!  Maybe my girls will pass the tradition on to their families--probably using some new-fangled camera or whatever! :)
