Over the past 13 days, I've been sharing about being spiritually disciplined which leads to growing in godliness. I've discussed the "no brainers" like Bible Intake, Prayer, and Worship. The other day, I shared about service. Today, I'm going to step on more toes...mine included and discuss STEWARDSHIP.
Immediately, people in the US cringe when the topic of their finances arises--it's off-limits. But being good stewards to grow in godliness does not merely deal with our finances, but also our time.
Let's talk about time for a minute. Do we have a lot of time? If you are like me, you are stretched thin. Time is very limited. How often are we mindful of our time in regards to things of eternal significance? The thing is, time is passing and short and uncertain. And we are accountable to God for the use of our time. "So then, each one of us will give an account of himself to God." Romans 14:12.
Let's talk about money for a minute. Yikes! Not only will are we to be good stewards of our time, but we are also to be good stewards or our money and resources. As we give, we are worshipping the One who gave it to us.
Now that was short and sweet, but it's so important for believers to remember that all we have is His and we should use our time and money to bring glory to His name.
