Having a designated spot for "school" has really helped in my effort to stay balanced. Fortunately, our home has a small office that we converted into our classroom. Even though we sometimes have "school" in the backyard or at the kitchen table, it's nice to have a place to house books, teaching materials, etc. This room also serves as my office where I spend quite a bit of time keeping our family organized, handling the finances, purchasing materials for school, selling items online. etc. I'll be going into more detail about those endeavors in some upcoming posts as they relate to finding balance and contributing to our family.
For today, I'm taking y'all on a little tour of our schoolroom...
Our schoolroom is really tiny, but it serves its purpose well. It's practical, functional, and fun!
It fits our needs perfectly.
Eventually, I would like to replace the old school desks and my desk with a bigger table. The desks are cute and we do use them, but I think a table might be a little easier for me to teach from and more comfortable for the girls as well.
Do you follow me on instagram? If so, you know it's my favorite app! I've printed my favorite shots and hung them around the school room. It's probably a tad too busy, but it makes me happy!
How cute is this little shelf? Some of you might remember our first day of school last year when Edy decided to use it as a monkey bar! It was terrible way to start our homeschooling adventure, but now I can look back on it and say we started with a BANG!
I love the shelf and its functionality. *I plan to go into more detail about organization in an upcoming post.
This little school room has really helped out our homeschooling endeavors. It's also contributed to keeping me...balanced.

Where did you get those pictures printed? Too cute! Also, if you are not selling on teachers pay teachers, you should! I have started adding anything I make to use for my classroom (6th grade) and made 46 dollars last month! SO easy and fun!
ReplyDeleteI had them printed through Prinstagram! You should check it out! Also...I'll for sure be checking in to teachers pay teachers. Sounds incredible! Thanks for the info.
