her nursery

This week, I have been spring cleaning like never before...best cleaning/longest cleaning/hardest cleaning/most rewarding cleaning ever.  Lots more to come on that topic in some upcoming posts.

But first...
My girls have been away for eight days.  I missed them SO much, but I got lots of things accomplished in their absence. The biggest feat of the week was finishing up little Joy Tatum's room.  It's done! Or...is that even possible?  Stuff is always a'changin' around here.  Here's a look at the finished nursery.

My friend, Kara, made these letters.  Aren't they cute?

The room:  light green, yellow, pale pink, cream, and a little turquoise.  I don't have a theme although I do have some little birds here and there, lots of vintage treasures, and hand-me downs from big sisters, Ava Grace and Edy Rose.

These guys were loved by both of my girls and are now being passed down to Joy baby.

pillow from AG's nursery

I really like the vinyl wall decal even though it was a nightmare to install.  I added the birds for fun. #putabirdonit

My mother-in-love found this awesome birdcage.

I came across these treasures the other day:  vintage plates/handkerchief/embroidery

I painted and stenciled the rocker.  If you're thinking it looks uncomfortable; it's really not too bad.  And I swear we aren't complete meanies, but we rarely rock the littles.  We're more of the 'sit in the comfy living room chair holding the baby' types.

another treasure I found:  vintage chenille pillow

AG's car

So excited to come across this antique, solid-wood table.  I painted it cream and accessorized!

I love all of the homemade goodies that we've been given for Miss Joy.

Rare find:  child-sized cobbler's shoe.  Such a neat gift. (Thanks, Vicky)

lots of bows for the babe
(confession:  I'm not a 'bigger the bow' kind of momma.  I'm okay with the littler ones.)

little hats passed down from sister to sister to sister

Both of my girls wore this little hat--now it's Joy's turn.

So excited to meet this little Joy I've been praying for...
