It's a...

About a month ago, I posted about our name choices for our baby boy/girl.  At the time, I was close to 15 weeks and a friend of a friend performed an ultrasound in hopes of determining the gender of the baby.  The technician told us that she was 85% sure we were expecting a baby boy (that's some pretty good odds but not good enough for us).  I'll be honest, at the time I couldn't see those prominent "three lines" I had previously seen in Ava Grace and Edy Rose's ultrasounds, but I did not get too attached to the idea of having a boy.  In fact, when people have asked me what we are having, I usually respond with, "We don't know yet."  I wanted to post the "85% story" on the blog for memory's sake only, but we did not pick out paint colors, clothes, etc.

Yesterday, I went for another ultrasound.  At 19 weeks, baby had grown a ton!  The moment the tech found that particular "area" she asked, "What did I say you were having?"  I responded, "You said boy, but that is a GIRL!"  Immediately, I saw those three distinct lines and nothing else between those little legs!

I can't describe how extremely excited we are to be having another baby girl.  Graham laid down on the floor and let the girls jump all over him.  He exclaimed, "I'm surrounded by girls!" to which the girls giggled!  Their daddy holds their hearts which completely melts mine.  I know the same will be true for our next little one.

In a recent post, I went into detail about our name choices.  Click HERE to read it in its entirety.

  1. I was waiting on a blog to announce that baby Joy is on her way!! I love your comment "their daddy holds their hearts which completely melts mine." There is something so special about that bond between a daddy and his daughter (s)! So happy for your family and ecstatic that another beautiful, and most importantly healthy, baby Hale girl will be joining all of us soon! Congrats again!!!

  2. What a sweet comment "their daddy hold their hearts which completely melts mine." Did that come from you. I know it comes from your heart anyway. That is so true. At 27 and 30, my boy and girl still adore their daddy. It continues to blow me away. Congratulations.
