37 weeks and Counting

I am  37 weeks along. Edy Rose could come at anytime from here on out. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY want her to wait until closer to her due date (approx. 3 weeks away), but babies born after 37 weeks are considered full term. Her lungs should be fully developed and ready to adjust to life outside of the womb.

This weekend we will be heading to Magnolia for my sister's wedding. After that, we will be waiting anxiously for our new little one to grace us with her presence. I go to the doctor tomorrow and I am very curious to know if any changes are starting to take place. We shall see.

Yesterday, I got a manicure, pedicure, haircut/color, and eyebrow wax. It was nice to have some time for myself, but I also know that I won't be able to get those things done for a while once she gets here.

Keep us in your prayers as we travel in a few days. I am extremely nervous about being on the road this late in the game. I am also praying for fair driving conditions. This time next week, we should be home safe and waiting on our new little peanut's arrival!

  1. You are ADORABLE!!!! Love the belly. I love pregnant women. I think that they are so cute! Rachel was born at 37 weeks 0 days and Lauren was born at 37 weeks, 6 days...but both were inductions. I will pray for safe travels. I can't imagine traveling at that stage in the game, of course, I was in the hospital both times at that stage! Prayers for you and baby Edy.
